What is gozo

One binary that gives Go projects the workflow of Vercel CLI.

gozo is a developer CLI for Go projects, written in Rust. One native binary wraps the go command with the workflow of Vercel CLI. It never re-implements Go tooling: every fact comes from go env, go mod, go work, go list and go test in JSON. Every gozo command answers in JSON too, so you and your coding agents share one tool.

What it covers

PhaseCommands
Developinit, dev, env, run, tool
Validatedoctor, check, test, generate, build
Deploylink, deploy
Operatels, status, logs, rollback
Agentapi, update

Conventions borrowed from Vercel CLI

  • stdout is the result, stderr is the chatter. gozo deploy > url.txt works.
  • --yes accepts defaults. --non-interactive fails instead of prompting, and is implied in CI and under coding agents.
  • --cwd, --debug, --no-color or NO_COLOR, --project or GOZO_PROJECT.
  • .gozo/ is the machine-local link directory, like .vercel/. It is git-ignored automatically.
  • Exit code 0 means success, 1 means the thing you checked is bad, 2 means gozo could not do the job.
